work experience for young people
Concordia training programme
Farmers and growers have found it increasingly hard to recruit young managers and supervisors. Concordia is now providing help in solving this industry-wide problem by working in partnership with Plumpton College.
Concordia is introducing a new work based learning programme for training supervisors, team leaders and managers.
The new programme will have three weeks study at College but the rest of the time will be learning in the work place. This new scheme takes the place of CABS but will be available to a wider group of students. The students will help to fund the course themselves through a weekly wage deduction as on the SWEP programme and in addition funding support has been achieved through the European Rural Development Programme.
If you have young people who would benefit your business by training in subjects such as man management, supervision, business awareness and organisation please discuss the course with us. Applicants can apply through an employer or directly to Concordia.
The students will receive a Diploma in recognition of their study and also achieve CMI ( Centre for Management Institute) awards. For more information contact: Ann Tyrrell - email annanntyrrel@aol.com
