Before you arrive
Congratulations on your successful application with Concordia! There are now a number of things you need to prepare before you arrive in the UK.
It is very important that you read all the information that has been sent to you about your work placement. This will include important health and safety information and some interesting details on English law and society.
If you need to obtain a UK visa in order to take up your work here, you must allow at least four weeks for this, as at certain times of the year the visa sections of British Embassies get very busy. In addition, if you are planning to travel other than by air, you must allow enough time to obtain a Schengen visa.

UK work placements available
Concordia has placements on farms in the UK starting between now and mid-June. If this is of interest to you and you have working rights in the UK, then please e-mail students@concordia-
ysv.org.uk with your name, date of birth, contact details and the dates you are available.
We regret that if you are a Romanian or Bulgarian national, all our SAWS work cards for 2008 have been allocated and we will not be able to offer you a placement.
